She was born on 30 September, 1975. She is a French actress, singer, songwriter, environmentalist and spokesperson for Green peace. She has garnered world wide acclaim and award for her performances in films such as A very long engagement (2004), La vie en Rose (2007), Nine (2009), Inception (2010), Rust and Bone (2012) etc. Cotillard gave birth to her first child with long-time boy friend Guilaume Canet, named Marcel, in May 2011. In 1997, she won her first film award at the festival Rencontres.
